I'm so very sorry to read about the loss of Mike! Deepest condolences.

I am also a "Black Ribbon" Skin Cancer Melanoma Survivor/Warrior. Thank you so much for putting this information up. You've no idea how many times I've been given the "oh, it's just skin cancer" line!

Have always freely given my time & effort to assist/sponsor various event's to help raise Cancer Awareness. Even before being diagnosed.

All the more fuel for a new event/program that I have created, would love to speak to anyone out there about it.:-)

Once your life has been touched, with this tragic word "Cancer" it simply will never be the same!

God Bless the World & God Bless you for caring!:-)

please check out this site- cafepresscom/melanoma. you can buy all sorts of cool clothes, hats, bags, buttons, all relating to melanoma, and making the black ribbon known. I just ordered 2 t shirts, and I will wear them, in hopes of fighing for more research being done. Let's SPEAK OUT, PEOPLE!!!! do it for yourself, a friend, a family member, or whoever! the prices are right and the messege will get out more. I'm doing it for my mother, and her 2 cousins that all passed from melanoma- I'm also doing this for EVERYONE who has ever battled or will battle it.

I lost my Daddy to melanoma on January 13, 2001. His melanoma was more of a freckle than a mole so look closely and ALL unusual places. He lived about 6 months after he was diagnosed. It was in 3 places in his brain and two places on his lungs. He was 46 years old.

Great site, thanks. I am a recently discovered Stage 3a Melanoma, age 35, and completed a SNB of one positive lymph node and two negative near the mole site on my back. No traces on CT, PET or MRI scans.

I am now considering foregoing Interferon in favor of alt adjuvant treatment. Any good ideas out there? DTIC and IL-2 combination? MDX-010?

God is good at all times!
