OCU-MEL : LISTSERV Subscribers Command Reference

The following commands are the most frequently used commands for the listserv. To issue a command to the listserv, send your email to the Listserv Address, LISTSERV@LISTSERV.ICORS.ORG. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or encounter problems. You may also click HERE to use the Listserv Web based form to subscribe, unsubscribe or otherwise change your list Email options

 

Action to Perform

Write in the body of your mail window

Subscribe

SUBSCRIBE OCU-MEL FIRSTNAME LASTNAME

*Unsubscribe

SIGNOFF OCU-MEL

Set Digest Mode

SET OCU-MEL DIGEST

Set Mail Mode (turn off Digest)

SET OCU-MEL NODIGEST

Turn off Mail for a while

SET OCU-MEL NOMAIL

Turn Mail back on

SET OCU-MEL MAIL

Why am I not subscribed anymore??

The listserv software or I may have found it necessary to
unsubscribe you due to permanent looking errors. Simply subscribe again.

TIP

You can always locate the owner for any listserv by writing to the generic address owner-<listname>@<listserv address> or <listname>-request@<listserv address>

Digest Options
Using Netscape 4.x
MS Outlook Express


Try HTML Digest. Send the command: SET OCU-MEL HTML
Try MIME Digest. Send the command: SET OCU-MEL MIME

*UPDATE: New Feature for signing off - simply send an email to: OCU-MEL-unsubscribe-request@LISTSERV.ICORS.ORG
Just put that in the address and send it. No Subject, no command to signoff.
