Honey Cake

3 1/2 cups |
all purpose flour |

baking soda |

cinnamon |

allspice (aka English pepper |

1 cup |
oil |
|
|
1 cup |
honey |
(first measure the oil and then the honey) |

eggs |

warm strong tea or coffee |

3/4 cup |
orange juice |
can be changed in part with whiskey |

1/2 cup |
slivered almonds (optional) |
Whisk dry ingredients in a large bowl . Make a well and pour in
wet ingredients. Stir well. Pour into Bundt or angelfood cake pan, or
3 loaf pans. Bake in moderate oven for about an hour until a
toothpick comes out clean.
